Dedicated to supporting employers in training the next generation of engineers and technicians.
The benefits of apprenticeships for young people are well publicised, but why should an employer look to apprenticeships to develop your business?
The MTC is at the forefront of technological advancements and apprentices that train on our apprenticeship programmes are exposed to these new and emerging technologies which can only add value to your organisation.
We are constantly developing well-rounded apprentices who will gain the skills required for today and also for the future. Our programmes build on a strong foundation of traditional skills over-layed with themes of emerging technologies equipping apprentices for a rapidly developing engineering sector.
Additionally, MTC Training was rated Good by Ofsted on 10th February 2023, with Outstanding ratings in both ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’.
Lloyds Bank has been actively working in partnership with the MTC as part of its commitment to supporting the UK manufacturing industry.

At MTC Training, we work closely with industry to provide our apprentices with the latest equipment to support their practical development. Our apprentices are also exposed to the new and emerging technologies being developed within the MTC.
“We have been extremely impressed by the apprentices that have joined us at FANUC through the MTC Apprenticeship Programme. They’ve been able to pick up advanced tasks and roles within the company very quickly and they’ve demonstrated high levels of professionalism and readiness for industry.”
Kerry Booth, Human Resources Manager, FANUC
UK employers with a payroll over £3 million must contribute 0.5% of their salary bill to the Apprenticeship Levy, which covers apprenticeship training and assessment costs.
For non-levy paying employers, the government fully funds apprenticeship training for 16 to 21-year-olds. For those 22 and over, employers pay just 5%, with the government covering 95%.
We can help you maximise your Apprenticeship Levy investment by delivering high-quality training in our state-of-the-art facility, ensuring your apprentices gain cutting-edge skills aligned with industry needs. Even if you’ve used up your levy funds, our co-investment model allows you to continue benefiting from top-tier training at minimal cost
Our vision is to inspire Great British Manufacturing on the global stage, by creating and embedding future skills.
