If you join us at 16 you will be studying for the Level 3 Engineering Technician: Product, Design & Development. This programme works on all stages of product creation and modification including concept design, prototyping, assembly, testing, and validation. You will bring new products to life and redesign existing products. The programme teaches core engineering skills such as hand fitting, mills, lathes, and measurement while incorporating technology such as CAD and additive manufacturing. The first 9-12 months of the programme will be based full time at MTC Training completing the Level 2 Foundational Competence Qualification and you will begin to work on the EAL Level 3 Technical Knowledge (BTEC) qualification.
