Housed on the UKAEA's Culham Science Centre, based just outside Oxford, OAS boasts world-class learning facilities which house some of the UK's most advanced equipment, covering a wide range of engineering and technological disciplines.
Run in conjunction with MTC Training, the OAS centre replicates the work being done at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre in upskilling workers of all ages and levels in new technology.

Apprenticeships
LEVEL 3 ENGINEERING TECHNICICAN STANDARD APPRENTICESHIP
This newly-developed ‘standards-based’ apprenticeship has been designed with employers, for use with new recruits (or existing staff) who wish to gain the technical and practical knowledge required to work within the engineering sector.
During the 4 year programme, apprentices learn the essential skills to design new products and work in development teams using cutting-edge technology in CAD programming, 3D printing, machine manufacturing, air logic systems, PLC and robotic systems – all in a safe and supportive environment.
This qualification is an Advanced Apprenticeship or ‘Level 3’ apprenticeship that provides progression routes onto higher level engineering qualifications.

The 48 month Level 4 Automation & Controls Apprenticeship is perfect for employees who are looking to progress in the automation sector, learning from experts in the field.

This 2 year programme uses a block release model covering skills such as design, manufacture, maintenance, and mechanical and electronic engineering.
