We’ve been getting ready behind the scenes to celebrate National Apprentice Week 2021, which takes place from Monday 8 to Sunday 14 February.
This year’s NAW theme is ‘Build the Future’, a sentiment that is right at the heart of everything we do here at the AMTC as we support our learners to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours they’ll need to help employers keep up to date with the latest industrial innovations and stay ahead of the competition. ‘Build the Future’ also recognises how learners and future apprentices will play a crucial role in helping the UK to address the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and to bridge the STEM skills gap.
We’re passionate about what we do, and NAW is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and recognise the value and opportunities that apprenticeships offer both to learners and to businesses.
Monday is Launch Day, and we’ll be exploring why NAW2021 is an even important event after the challenges of the past 10 months. On Tuesday, we’ll be hearing from some of our fabulous employer partners, who will be answering some of the most Frequently Asked Questions and explaining why their apprentices are an essential part of their businesses’ success. On Wednesday, we’ll be sharing what our apprentices think as we #AskAnApprentice about their experiences so far.
On Thank You Thursday, we’ll be speaking to current and past apprentices about how their apprenticeship has helped to launch their career and who they’d like to thank for supporting them on their journey so far. We’ll be celebrating success and progression on Friday as we announce the latest winners of the Apprentice of the Month and Extra Mile awards, and on Saturday we’ll be answering questions we’ve received from parents and carers about the Level 3 apprenticeship programme. Finally on Sunday, we’ll be rounding the week off by sharing what we love most about apprenticeships here at the MTC.
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed their support and selfie videos to help us celebrate all things apprenticeships. Keep your eye on our social media channels from Monday 8 February to see what we’ve got in store!
