Join our well-established training program supporting both academic and hands-on training. Develop the skills and knowledge to be able to Produce components and Tooling on a variety of both manual and CNC machines whilst supporting all areas of the business. Continue your development to grow into a key member of Machine Shop production team and progress your career into the wider business.


  • Develop the ability and skills to build and test a range of world leading metrology products, understanding core metrology concepts and techniques, supporting all areas of the business.
  • Join the apprentice annual project teams to deliver an Operational Excellence project.
  • Work to high standards of quality throughout the Assembly Cells to deliver excellence in customer service.
  • Learn mechanical and electrical principles, supporting long term development.
  • Develop lean and continuous improvement skills to improve day to day operations.
  • Become a part of both the apprentice and assembly teams, working together to achieve success.
  • Display an ability and desire to develop and grow with the business.
  • Develop understanding of all aspects of Taylor Hobson Operations through secondment placement in other areas of the business.


Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above to include Math’s, English Language and Science
